This is good news as the motor I am considering for this first build, a Warp DC motor, has a bell housing with a half uni joint fitted.

https://www.zeva.com.au/store.php?product=75

Hopefully should eliminate some of the problems intefacing the motor with the drivetrain.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-896153462641195308.post-32950661524212000512008-05-28T21:17:00.000+10:002008-05-28T21:17:00.000+10:00Well I have changed my mind. I install the diff this weekend. :)Malhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18037705166028255932noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-896153462641195308.post-89012818133184017222008-05-28T17:06:00.000+10:002008-05-28T17:06:00.000+10:00Hi,Thinking of doing much the same thing however I...Hi,

Thinking of doing much the same thing however I might try direct drive. I think I can get a higher ratio diff to make up for the lack of a gearbox.

The hilux has a 4.1:1 diff most likely.

Anyway I have not got beyond thought stage yet. I will be following your build with great interestAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
